We Exist to Experience God
We experience God by posturing ourselves to be led by Him in every aspect of life. We are in a lifelong process of learning his voice & passions. We are students of his presence.
The Bible is the Word of God
We seek to base all theology and thought in scripture. We hold specific tenants to be non-negotiable. We steer the Cedar House ship based on these core theological principles. At the same time Cedar House is a family project that seeks to discuss, develop, and celebrate differences in theology and scriptural interpretation. Theological agreement is not a requirement to do life as a family.
We desire to be led by the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit's influence draws us closer to the heart of the father and leads us deeper into his heart.

Presence and Voice
The influence of God's presence shapes our lens for life. We are changed by His kindness. We are directed by His voice.
Faithfulness
We recognize when God speaks to us, we remember what he has said, and we work out our obedience to His words and commands.
Honoring the Word
We honor what God has already said. We desire to submit to God's word in scripture even if it is uncomfortable or inconvenient. We do not fully understand his word so we are intentional to seek out revelation in relationship with the Father.
